Workplace violence is violence or the threat of violence against people who work in a location. (osha.gov) Workplace violence can consist of physical, mental, and verbal abuse. It can happen anywhere. Workplace violence has gone as far as homicide. It can even There has been a lot of workplace violence incidents that have occurred over the years. Every workplace is not safe to work at all. There have been many violent incidences which have took place in the workplace. Suspects of workplace violence have utilized weapons to get what they want or just because they felt like harming people. Most people who are victims of workplace violence are innocent. There are also many people that get killed during an act of workplace violence. According†¦show more content†¦The people involved were terrified. They did not know Mr. Neumann planned to do what he did. He shot majority of the victims in the head. (foxnews.com) Others were shot in several places. A security manager should have prepared their employers regarding the incident. The security manager should have had an alarm that would have prevented Mr. Neumann from entering the building. Security measures that should have been required to protect the employees, should have been a security alarm in which only the managers and supervisors should know the passcode to get in the building. There also should have been secured locks to secure the building. Most importantly, the company should have had video surveillance to see who enters and exits the building and to see what’s going on in and out the building. Mr. Neumann possibly had a motive to take out who he disliked while working there. He probably did not like how he was being treated when he came to work. John Neuman did not have to take his anger out on the employees. They were innocent people who did not have to die the way they did. Before doing the crime, he should have thought about how many people he would hurt. Mr. Neumann and the victim’s family now should deal with their loss. John Neumann was possibly going through a lot. He allowed his emotions to get the best of him by killing the people and committing suicide. The victim’s families should go through so much with dealing with their loss.
